I'm basically repeating everything that's already been said, but it cannot be overstated how special TEENAGE SEX AND DEATH AT CAMP MIASMA is. Not only is it a perfect encapsulation of the Hollywood slasher franchise, but it profoundly captures what it's like to hide the parts of yourself you're most scared people will judge you for, and what it costs to keep hiding. If you've ever felt othered, this film is going to hit somewhere specific. It doesn't ask you to explain yourself to be understood, it just lets you be seen. Not just with desire and sex, but with what makes you you, and the parts of you that feel forbidden shouldn't be carried with shame. It's an acceptance and a release. Genuinely in awe.
