That would literally:

- strip residents from their elected representatives
- prioritize national interests over local needs
- overrule local matters, such as education or policing
- creates an unaccountable power structure that would lack transparency and Congressional oversight
- invites abuse from special interests
- starts the process for authoritarian control, a very slippery slope

In reality, this paradoxically replace one form of control with another... Which is obviously opportunistic...

@elonmusk You need to stop letting your emotions drive decisions and ideas that lead you to such antithetical changes to a democracy FOR THE PEOPLE.

There is no justification that this area must be federalized to achieve the goal of stopping crime.

Instead, you're actually advocating for authoritarian control over the people, and more importantly supporting a dictator and his desire for ultimate control.

If the government needs more space, or wishes to control it's image, rebuild DC somewhere like the middle of the Nevada desert, where there is no need to screw citizens over for a sensationalized authoritarian nonsense.
