No specific buildings in Blade Runner were designed exclusively in the Aztec style.
Instead, Syd Mead applied a "Neo-Aztec" aesthetic as part of a broader "trash chic" philosophy, where he mashed together Byzantine, Aztec, Modern, and Art Deco motifs into single, monolithic structures.
The towering skyscrapers dominating the cityscape often feature massive, stepped pyramidal bases and ziggurat-like silhouettes reminiscent of Aztec and Mayan temples.
The "Aztec" influence is most visible in the textural details and geometric patterns added to the lower levels of these megastructures, creating a sense of ancient, oppressive weight beneath the high-tech neon clutter.
