Front page Roblox dev, developing since 2015.
Working to be the next gen along top developers.
Against the use of AI in creative sectors. Slop not welcome here.
I collected the first Roblox accounts created each year.
I can't find accurate data anywhere detailing the exist player counts.

@pl4tinumeffects I bet they're making tons of money. They will sell gamepasses that work across all of their reuploaded experiences. Usually on a copyright takedown, roblox never deletes the infringing account, so they get away scot-free with all the money.
@pl4tinumeffects Bad take, to an extent. You want a good balance. More speed usually results in more fast term growth, but will ultimately lead to less long term retention. (All those made-in-a-day slop game). On the other hand, all quality, no speed, gives you a game like The Forge.
@EvanZir I'm most interested in how 3rd party stores will handle standalone Roblox games. It could bring on troves of new 18+ users depending on their placement. Part of me wonders if Roblox is doing it out of desperation to bring on more players to the platform.
@archDev21@suu4ve Play your own game with some friends. That's what I did, and people slowly started engaging from the search algorithm. If you and your friends don't find your game fun to play, then neither will anyone else.
@BlackoutCedar@Tofee3_ Wouldn't it still function similarly since Roblox is the one who holds the funds? Or is any kind of money account under your name considered income?
