Knee Arthroscopy for cyclops lesion removal & MUA on Wednesday. Feeling positive after a pretty awful 19 wks. Flex & Ext finally coming back and the best itโs been since before my ACLR surgery. Obviously sore but feel Iโm back on the road to recovery #acl#recovery#aclrehab
๐ณ Women's footballers are up to SIX times more likely to suffer an ACL injury than their male counterparts, yet there is a lack of understanding on why it's happening.
๐ฃ @BMeado9: โIf that ever happened in the men's game, a lot more would have been done sooner.โ
This #OverseasNHSWorkersDay weโre proud to celebrate all our amazing overseas staff!๐
At UHSussex, we embrace our diverse colleagues from around the world, bringing with them different cultures, languages, and values, and making us a better Trust for it.๐
4 months post op ACL, ongoing difficulties. MRI done and now on the waiting list for surgery to remove a cyclops lesion. Looking forward to some progress (hopefully). Can honestly say this injury has been TOUGH. New found appreciation for what my patients go through #physio#acl
Looking for recommendations for physios in the South East area - West Sussex but can travel: experienced with ACL rehab and return to high level sport. Would like to see face to face. Either DM with info, tag etc. Thank you. @physiosinsport@CSPSouthEast
After progressing calf pain, 2 hospital visits & an USS, I can now confirm I have a ruptured bakers cyst leaking into my calf. 8 days post #aclr, things arenโt quite going to plan. Unable to FWB, gain full knee extension and can barely reach plantar grade due to pain. Not ideal!
Day 4 post ACLR:
Main problems; adductor & calf pain, almost 0% sensation around medial calf/ankle - assuming my saphenous nerve took a hit. Back pain definitely flaring with the lack of activity. Surprisingly the knee feels like the best part of me (& looks like a rainbow)
@jamielkyte Injured mine July 23rd, had surgery on Monday (15 weeks). All NHS. I was put down as a young persons knee and โurgentโ therefore shorter waiting time.
In terms of rehab focus on range of movement & quad activation then strengthening & proprioception. Look @ Melbourne guidelines
