When modern alternatives like e-rickshaws, e-carts, and small transport vehicles are widely available, countless animals are still being used for heavy loading work.

What breaks the heart even more is seeing them struggle under impossible burdens.

Look at this mule/horse. Every step appears painful. Every pull looks like a battle against exhaustion. Yet it keeps moving because it has no choice.

Animals do not choose this life.

They do not choose the heavy loads.
They do not choose the harsh conditions.
They do not choose the suffering.

And just because they cannot speak does not mean they do not feel pain.

As a society, we must do better.

The time has come to gradually phase out animals from heavy loading work and replace them with humane alternatives wherever possible. Until then, strict welfare standards, lighter loads, proper rest, access to water, veterinary care, and compassionate treatment should be the bare minimum.

Progress cannot be called progress if it is built on the silent suffering of animals.

Seeing these gentle souls struggle day after day is truly heartbreaking.

Please spare a thought and a prayer for the countless horses, mules, donkeys, and bullocks who continue to bear burdens far heavier than they ever should.

Compassion must evolve along with technology.

😡 ABSOLUTELY DISGRACEFUL 😡
Today at Mitchelstown Market, dogs were reportedly being offered for sale for €200 each while sitting in a crate for hours, with concerns raised that they had no access to water. Witnesses say the matter was reported to the Gardaí.
So cruel and horrible 😡😡. Animals are living, feeling beings, not products to be left suffering in cages while people walk past.
We need answers. What happened to these dogs? Were they checked on? Were any animal welfare authorities contacted?
If anyone has reliable information or an update on the welfare of these dogs, please pm us. These poor dogs deserve protection.
Enough is enough. Animal welfare must be taken seriously.
