markets don't close anymore

checking my @cascade_xyz portfolio after trading equities all weekend

you can just trade things. and soon everyone will be able to.

the biggest global market moves this year did not happen during traditional trading hours.

gold surged 66% in 2025. silver 135%. oil swung double digits multiple times. the most significant price action across all of it happened on weekends, overnight, in windows where most retail traders had no way to react.

by the time the bell rang the meat of the move was done.

prices never stop moving but your ability to act on them does. there’s a 65+ hour blackout baked into traditional finance every single week where the market keeps pricing in information and most people are just passengers.

the demand to fix this clearly exists. venues like hyperliquid proved people will show up 24/7 if you let them. but the solution stayed narrow.

and 24/7 access alone doesn’t fix the deeper problem. the infrastructure has not been rebuilt it has just been patched. a crypto trader and a tradfi trader still live in completely separate worlds for no good reason.

so the question we kept coming back to: what does finance look like if you build it properly today?
