We have so much space to increase the number of homes within our current urban areas connected to services, transit, and amenities.
I think it’s past time to call it — Vancouver is no longer a leader among cities in new urban biking & active transportation infrastructure. It’s now joined the ranks of cities that made strong progress in the past, but at best has stalled & in fact is sadly now moving backwards.

If we want to bring back “third places” to mend our social fabric in America, then we also need to rebuild walkable communities so they can thrive. And to rebuild walkable communities, we need to de-center cars in our downtowns and reform our zoning, permitting, and parking laws.
