@mathlonning $IPWR - I’ll admit I’m “pot committed” in terms of my conviction. If we believe what the CEO says, they absolutely built a better mousetrap when it comes to power switches. Strong addressable market. Still pre-revenue, but inching closer to commercialization.
@DanPBingham@KVanValkenburg Exactly. One of his points was the development. But the whole argument is what you stated. Pretend the US didn’t have NBA/NFL/MLB. Soccer is the sport, by a wide margin, everyone plays. All the leagues, camps, etc would be soccer. The US has a Messi, he just plays football
@KVanValkenburg 3/ None of this can be proven, either way. My main point is this really wasn’t very good at busting the myth. It fundamentally misunderstands the argument, or myth as it claims.
@KVanValkenburg 1/ This actually isn’t a great read. The hypothetical argument the US would dominate is based on the “athletes” playing soccer from age 6. All the money, depth, fame that is the NFL/NBA would instead be soccer. This doesn’t mean 6’7” NBA stars would dominate soccer. But guys like
