Dr hospital doctor. Every time you ask me to act as your SHO in community you’re taking me away from doing my job as a specialist generalist. I’ve 38 years experience. I’m not there to chase up your blood results/organise MRI/follow up BP and so on. Please do it yourself.

Cleaning, donning/doffing PPE, complex care, sick patients who have shielded at home getting sicker for 12 months, etc. No funding for more doctor or nurses time though. Unfortunately the resources aren’t elastic

@helengrote @HelenRSalisbury Maybe speak to your CCG about getting GP surgery ‘bypass’ numbers for your switchboard? Ambulance service have these so they can speak with us for advice and to avoid admissions, etc.

@SimonBradley8 Recieving two vaccines at 21 day intervals wouldn’t achieve 100% protection from Covid-19 infection. So causality would be difficult to prove. (PS not a lawyer!)

Priorities for vaccination are based on 3 risks:
1) Of death or serious illness if infected
2) Of close exposure to multiple infection sources (people)
3) Of contact with multiple (vulnerable) people thus spreading disease
Teachers are in category 2 & should be prioritised

3 weeks ago the lead was stripped from our roof @ConcordMedC the COVID-19 vaccination centre for the Stokes Primary Care Network now replaced with steel. Tonight, twice, on Christmas Eve, thieves have been chased off. #ClapForTheNHS
