I have said a couple of times how well the team in maternity has done to resolve issues after the community midwives service went in to administration- but this is lovely feedback from a recent mum https://t.co/y9rSUxnMH6
AIMS is shocked saddened and concerned that @121Midwives is in administration. We call upon @dunkleybent and @NHSEngland to ensure women continue their care - we are hearing otherwise.
We are also upset that this curtails womens choice for politico-financial reasons not medical.
Weekend: on call all weekend, had family round for tea both Saturday and Sunday!
Saturday evening called to a homebirth @ 10.30, home for 3.30am then called at 4.30am & 6.30am then back to bed! Primary visit Sunday and an early night! #homebirth#supportingwomenschoice
Friday:
School run 🏫
Preceptorship meeting (last one) 😬
3x telephone bookings
1x anomaly scan
1x face to face booking
1x triage for reduced movements
Home to say night to my children and relax with my hubby #buildingrelathionships#caseloadingmidwife#findingmyfeet
Currently on Annual leave enjoying some time out with my kiddies it’s been grounding! The thing with caseloading is you never really switch of to it but that’s ok and it’s took me a while to realise this! #happyholidays#rest#relaxation # #caseloadingmidwife#timewiththekids 👌🏻
it’s simplicity to explain some complex issues is great for supporting when discussing choices with families, It also comes with some great birth plan print outs, I often find these trigger so many questions and open up discussion about all elements of birth #thepositivebirthbook
