A5. Working in a small school, getting to know others in the field and exchange ideas and info has been so valuable. Plus many folks become friends! #EACE
A2. I’ve been an #EACE member since 2018, Tech Committee member since 2019, and Co-Chair since 2021! What first struck me about the org was how welcoming and kind everyone was.
@Queens_Podcast George IV and how he tried to sneak a coronation past his wife who he hated, Victoria missed a chunk of hers because the Bishop skipped some pages, and Elizabeth I maybe having a Catholic mass accidentally(?) performed at hers!
A5. The long lasting ones were formed organically. At another association’s conference I got a mentor assigned to me and it wasn’t a great experience. #EACE
A4. That it’s okay to say no, I’m busy, when asked to do another thing. The validation in that was so impactful and allowed me to advocate better for myself and pass that onto students. #EACE
A3. Mentorships have been huge for me, and they’ve always been in informal/unnamed ways. I’ve had several mentors from different backgrounds and having multiple perspectives has been wonderful #EACE
