"What is the value of our philosophy if we do not do our utmost to apply it? To simply know a thing is not enough. To merely speak or write of it occasionally among ourselves is not enough. We must do something about it on a large scale if we are to make headway. These are critical times, and drastic action is needed.
...We must not only tell them, but show them just how and why and where our claims can be proven in some actual situation."

@KSimback@ErikVoorhees@AskVenice $365/$680 = 54% APY
Even if DIEM goes to $0 it’s as though you prepaid for 2 years of inference. But that assumes no one in the future will be interested in an asset with a 54%+ APY
@notlouisck@mcquito Producing things previously thought impossible, solving problems for millions of people, then selling them to eager buyers for mutual gain.
@tomyoungjr@saylor Changing the interest rate doesn't change the results.
Should the monthly interest be included in the cumulative loan balance?
Also, I wonder if you could do something similar with a zero interest collateralized loan using @THORChain on @ShapeShift.

@dotkrueger I'd be interested to see how this looks if you took annual distributions from no interest @THORChain loans against half of your BTC, then pay those loans back in say 10 years using a fraction of your now appreciated remaining BTC. You could avoid all those early losses.
@RedDelPaPa@danieleripoll From this chart it looks like BTC could spike as high as $500k or so in 2025 and still be within the power law predicted range. Depending on the price at halving that would be close to 10x.

I’ve only tried it with a small loan but you can’t beat the terms. No interest, no expiration, no liquidation.

An underappreciated consequence of fiat currency debasement is that people use real estate to store value and escape inflation.
This pushes real estate much higher, directly harming everyone who doesn't own property (ie the lower half of society)
@rolanberrypie @RoyLuis189407 @Tesho13@pushtheneedle Sounds super wasteful. Now only one family gets to live near their work instead of 30 families. If someone wants to waste that much prime real estate they should pay the full cost of the land under any alternate use.
@RoyLuis189407 @Tesho13@pushtheneedle I think the single family neighborhood should need to own the land they'd like to control. Maybe buy more land and create a buffer. Otherwise let people build what they want to build on their own land.
