A friend has started an initiative to gift schools with racially-diverse books; To make their bookshelves more representative of the rich society our children are part of. Take a look.

4% of children’s books published in 2018 had a protagonist who was not white. This doesn’t reflect our society. After speaking to teachers across London, we recognised an issue, their need for more inclusive material but a lack of funding. Enter Books from Herbie #Diversity#blm
Just to highlight the sheer insanity of this:
The govt’s “NHS” Covid app only wants to know about Serco/private testing.
If you had a test in an NHS or PHE lab, you literally cannot enter the result on the app.
@MattHancock how can you possibly justify this?

I truly wish more people connected over their mutual experiences of pain rather than divide themselves based on identity and group membership— as though the experience of anxiety, fear, depression, and sadness feels different depending on your political or religious beliefs.
Genuinely scared at the amount of charities in trouble atm. Henning Wehn said charity is "a failure of governments' responsibilities." Inclined to agree- esp. in areas like kids' cancer research. Short term, it's clear the future is dark without support. #WorldCancerResearchDay

I just admitted to my close female friend from college that I had a crush on her in college, and she said she liked me too and wondered why I never said anything. I fell off my chair! You mean I could have actually dated her?! Open yourself and be vulnerable folks. Life is short.
@CostaCoffee Hiya. I was given an e-giftcard for use during my little boys' cancer treatment. The branch at the hospital couldn't accept e-gift cards and, as his treatment was over a year, the points have elapsed. Is there way you might kindly reinstate them, please? Many thanks
