In his short life, Kobe Bryant did so much. He broke barriers, weathered storms & became part of not just the NBA, but also the world family. I’m praying for his family & the families of everyone who died.
How can we exist in ways that keep our hearts soft, kind, childlike?
Don’t mistake this for weakness; it is strength, a kind of wholly seeing of things/people/spaces we so often ignore.
The only thing I ask today is that you listen to your body.
If it’s telling you you’re exhausted, give it rest.
If it tells you it needs to be outside, go.
If it tells you that you need a good cry, let yourself cry or wail.
Just listen.
And then respond with kindness.
“This is what God's kingdom is like: a bunch of outcasts and oddballs gathered at a table, not because they are rich or worthy or good, but because they are hungry, because they said yes. And there's always room for more.” @rachelheldevans
I took this photo as we were leaving #NotreDame about an hour before it caught on fire. I almost went up to the dad and asked if he wanted it. Now I wish I had. Twitter if you have any magic, help him find this 🙏🏼
