@max93426697 @nexta_tv so the law for children this young is stricter then for adults. beside it being terminal with no prospect of working meds in the very near future. They also have to be estimated to not live very long anymore and be in constant pain with palliative care having failed.

@ECodeFlamboyant part of it is the way it is portrayed. In articles it always just mentioned the euthanasia part. It never explains the crazy hoops one has to go through to get it and the very strict laws attached to it. They always make it sound like you can say it and the next week it is done.

I am not even allowed to install outdoor sun shades because no drilling in the wall allowed.

@blogagog @mewwts mostly related to renting. my rental agency has this whole thing about no drilling in the outside wall because it will disturb the insulation. Sun shades etc aren't allowed either.

@teevee_tvdesign @robin7331 i have one and it is. It basicly sits on a bracket you hang from your window rail. It does not require any drilling and can be put up or removed within minutes. I also checked with the neighbours who agreed it is barely audible.

@dramaticweasel I think what makes it so bad is that it isn't gradual. We could have like 10 degrees and rain one day and the next around 30. The quick change back n forth is what makes it so harsh. The humidity and lack of AC does not help either.

The freedom to say whatever makes people quite bold and some seek out the thrill of saying the most vile things without actual consequences. I don't think many have figured out that these people do it for themselves.

@koralyen8 it is sadly also just a flaw of the freedom of the internet. Lack of consequences to things that you wouldn't dare say in person tends to make people bold and seek it out as a sort thrill.

@koralyen8 Sadly it always will but we aren't the only fandom with that issue nor will we be the last. And the fighting hasn't helped any of them nor will it help us.
Some people are in it just for the fighting and they will continue to seek it out. That will never end.
