Putting what I learned at @mace_ks in action with the first students I saw after the conference! Used @GetSchoolAI sidekick to help them review the content from our unit over the 1800s, then used @myshortanswer to practice responding to the competencies ahead of their exam!
@mace_ks if you didn’t make it to @mrsparkstweets presentation you missed out on learning about @myshortanswer. This is now on my lesson plan for Monday!
@BrittanyLynne I watched your @GQMagazine Couple’s Quiz with @PatrickMahomes and heard he was a fan of history, so maybe he can pick out his favorite book from Amazon wishlist for my sophomore World History classes! https://t.co/wMnJk0H3VI
@monnat_s My students research the battles as their individual project for my American Revolution unit. It’s a Slides project with a map, scoreboard, timeline, and information chart.
Looking for visuals to help my students understand the new SS state assessment rubric language, any suggestions for better ideas? #ksedchat@NCSSNetwork @SHEG_Stanford
Pam Sumner gave a presentation from the historical society today on local history and the Potawatomi tribe. The kids enjoyed getting a hands on experience of the content we have been learning about, and getting to take home a buffalo tooth necklace! @KawValley321@Stmarysbears
In their downtime my cohort has decided to run a play-doh bakery, which beats any attempt that I could ever make at an actual bakery 🤣 #ksedchat@KawValley321@Stmarysbears
@Catlin_Tucker I have so much more late work and corrections to grade this year, but I have decided to grade them once a week so I don’t feel like I constantly have grading to do. I still regularly grade on time assignments, but my students know I’m not as efficient with other grading.
In a democracy, no citizen should be told that their legally cast ballot doesn’t count...it is not about who you support, but what you support. #Election2020
Thanks to Mr. McConaghy and the government students, all of my junior high students were able to perform their civic duty today. Now for my turn after school! #VOTE#Vote2020
Mock Election Day at SMJSHS!
Extremely proud of our Government class for conducting this piece of the democratic process.
Cones and sanitation for the mitigation, as well. 😎
Doing our best to continue empowering each other!

I love that my 7th grade students took it upon themselves to organize a #SocialDistance game of Simon Says during our #maskbreak, and they do it every time we go out. Still little kids at heart! 🤣 @KawValley321@Stmarysbears
I am exhausted, my body hurts, I have a million things on my mind, but man it was awesome to get back in the classroom and actually spend the day with kids! #ksedchat#BackToSchool
Fully aware of the fact that I have gone completely overboard on this whole #BitmojiClassroom fad and fully plan on making fun of myself on the first day, before the kids even have a chance to!🤣 @Bitmoji#BackToSchool
