In The People’s House, protest is not grounds for expulsion. It is cause for celebration: we live in a free society where dissent is welcome, opposition expected and debate engaged. As a former leader in such a body, I defended my colleagues on both sides. Shame on Tennessee.
You cannot reform a system that was founded on the terrorization, humiliation, & exploitation of Black people. You cannot reform a country founded through white supremacy, & colonialism. Justice does not exist for Tyre Nichols in this system. May he rest in power. Abolition now.
I’m running out of words to describe my astonishment. Just over 3 weeks after #MahsaAmini’s death, women are defiantly walking on the streets of #Tehran, with no hijab…while cars are honking in their supports. Mahsa couldn’t have imagined how she changed life for many Iranians.
Repro justice folks: do you have Brackeen v. Haaland on your radar? This case will rule on the constitutionality of the Indian Child Welfare Act. It impacts the rights of Native families to parent their children & the rights of Native children to grow up in Native homes.
Women of Iran-Saghez removed their headscarves in protest against the murder of Mahsa Amini 22 Yr old woman by hijab police and chanting:
death to dictator!
Removing hijab is a punishable crime in Iran. We call on women and men around the world to show solidarity.

Solidarity with People's Park in Berkeley, CA, where encampments are currently being raided by police
Free the land, free public spaces, free housing for all, fuck the police
Our thoughts and solidarity with the victims of this evil attack and the LGBTQI+ community in Norway in the dark days ahead.
This is no time for complacency. Hate is on the rise and looms over our communities. We need political leadership to root it out. https://t.co/n6bIEx2gX5
