Don’t argue with people over sixty. Just don’t.
It’s not just an age; it’s a masterclass in survival.
They grew up without Google, without DoorDash, without therapy podcasts, and without an "undo" button. If something broke, they grabbed duct tape, WD-40, a hammer, and a look of sheer determination that made even the broken appliance second-guess itself.
As kids, they knew exactly what kind of mood their mom was in just by the sound of how hard she slammed the cast-iron skillet onto the stove.
They were the original latchkey kids — walking home from middle school with a house key tied around their neck, with strict orders to heat up lunch and not burn the kitchen down. By the time they were ten, they could bike to the corner store, buy a gallon of milk for the neighbor, feed the family dog, and still have time to play freeze tag in the yard until dark.
Their knees were a permanent canvas of scrapes, bruises, and rubbing alcohol. Their universal first-aid kit was just a quick wash under the garden hose and a Band-Aid. If a bone wasn't sticking out, you were fine.
They drank water straight from that same hose, ate Wonder Bread covered in butter and sugar, shared a single glass bottle of Coke among five friends, and somehow didn't die from a lack of sanitization.
This is the generation that knows how to rewind a cassette tape with a No. 2 pencil. They know the suspense of waiting all week for a movie to air on TV, because if you missed it, it was gone. They remember rotary phones, looking up a family in a massive paper phonebook, and the excitement of getting a color television.
They survived party lines, typewriter ribbons, early brick cell phones, and flip phones — and today, they might accidentally send you a 7-minute voice memo where the first 6 minutes are just them breathing and asking, "Hello? Can you hear me?"
And don't you dare laugh.
Because without a GPS, these people could drive halfway across the country using nothing but an old paper map, a cooler full of sandwiches, and the gut feeling that "the exit should be coming up somewhere around here."
They are the ultimate masters of household magic. They can stitch, tighten, glue, and fix just about anything. And somewhere in their pantry, they have a "bag of bags" that is literally older than half the gadgets you own.
Leave people over sixty alone. They saw the world before the internet, and they navigated the world after it. And through it all, they didn't just get by — they thrived.
Liberals are wasting $750 million on another failed boondoggle that targets law-abiding hunters, farmers, and sport shooters, instead of going after the real gun smugglers and gangsters.
Make the amnesty permanent by ending the wasteful gun grab now.

So let me get this straight:
Leftists want 16 year olds to vote.
They want 12 year olds to be able to consent to sex changes.
But they don’t want those same teenagers to read conservative opinions on social media, only Blue Sky?
Their agenda is pretty obvious.
Why are Quebec police calling gun owners' spouses?
The Sûreté du Québec has launched an initiative that sees officers contacting the spouses of licensed firearms owners to ask about possible domestic violence concerns.
What if the police called your spouse tomorrow and asked whether you might become violent someday?
Not because you'd committed a crime. Not because anyone had filed a complaint. Not because there was evidence against you. Just because you legally owned something that the government doesn't like.
That's exactly what's happening in Quebec.
This week, the Carney Liberals quietly extended their gun ban amnesty once again, delaying implementation of the federal confiscation scheme until 90 days after the Supreme Court of Canada hears the Canadian Coalition for Firearm Rights challenge to the 2020 gun ban. By the time this whole mess winds through the court, it will be seven and a half years after hundreds of thousands of previously legal firearms were prohibited by Order-in-Council.
Thankfully, the government still hasn't managed to complete its confiscation program, and Canadians are still waiting to learn whether the ban itself was lawful.
At the same time, Quebec police are targeting licensed gun owners in a different way. The Sûreté du Québec has launched an initiative that sees officers contacting the spouses of licensed firearms owners to ask about possible domestic violence concerns.
The problem? Canada already has extensive laws allowing authorities to intervene when there are genuine safety concerns. Police can seize firearms, licences can be suspended or revoked, courts can issue protection orders, and red-flag laws already allow firearms to be removed before violence occurs.
So why are police investigating people who haven't been accused of any wrongdoing?

@JonFraserTF In the past 60 years the OECD/DAC donors have contributed approximately one trillion dollars to deal with world hunger. The challenges are government s that block aid, corruption siphoned funds, wars. It is not easily solved.
I do find it a little bit funny that Carney constantly questions the patriotism of his political opponents while also constantly wishing he could be part of a different continent that he clearly considers better than his own.
The new Parliamentary Budget Officer is doing her job. She's calling out Carney's bullshit.
"The budgetary deficit is projected to average around $64 billion over the next five years, with the debt service ratio reaching 13.1 per cent by 2030-31,"
"The growth in Canada's economy is moderating. Projected real GDP growth of 1.1 per cent in 2026 and 1.6 per cent in 2027. New measures in Budget 2025 and the SEU 2026 add $68.4 billion in net new spending between 2025‑26 and 2030‑31, putting additional pressure on federal expenses."
In other words, the economy is stalling, and Carney is not addressing Ottawa's out-of-control spending and borrowing.
A reminder for fans with gadgets! Drones are not permitted above or around FIFA Fan FestivalTM Toronto — no exceptions. Let’s keep the skies clear. #FIFAWorldCup#WeAreToronto
Two people were charged under Canadian Aviation Regulations for flying drones over and around FIFA sites downtown on June 13. One drone was detected operating at 1700 feet and the individual was charged for reckless operation.
Coming soon to Canada under Bill C-34 that will result in not only this 👇 but also a digital ID or other draconian measures against ALL Canadians.
When do Canadians stand up and finally shout, ENOUGH?!!

If kids ‘aren’t on the bargaining table,’ why do Liberals constantly use them as the excuse to insert government into our homes? Parents are perfectly capable of monitoring their own children. Get out of our families, stop the digital surveillance push disguised as ‘safety,’ and actually fix this country instead of expanding control.
While in Ireland the PM may want to ask why Ireland's real GDP/cap growth at 7.0% to 8.0% in 2025 vs Canada's 0.5% - 1%.
Hint: In 2025 alone, Ireland posted 12.3% real GDP growth, largely driven by a surge in pharma exports. Canada, by contrast, has seen very little comparable foreign direct investment or export boom in high-value sectors.
The federal government just extended the firearms amnesty — again. Not because the policy is working, but because the Supreme Court of Canada is now questioning whether it was ever legal to begin with.
Here’s what gets buried in these announcements: not one of these firearms was banned through a vote in Parliament. They were prohibited overnight by Order in Council — a Cabinet decree, no debate, no elected vote.
“Assault-style” isn’t a legal definition. It’s a vague label stretched to cover thousands of lawfully owned firearms belonging to licensed, vetted, responsible Canadians. Hunters. Sport shooters. Collectors. They did everything right — and they’re the ones paying the price.
Meanwhile, the illegal handguns driving the vast majority of gun violence in this country remain the real problem — and this policy does nothing to address them.
I support licensing. I support safe storage. I support keeping firearms out of the wrong hands. What I don’t support is policy theatre dressed up as public safety.
The Supreme Court will have its say. Until then — know your rights, and know your MP is paying attention.
