This is a big one for students with learning/physical disabilities. We need to be able to accommodate them! We cannot exclude students based on their differences. As educators we should be willing and ready to help them succeed even if it requires a little more work. #3310txst

In order to makes schools more equitable we must provide an equal amount of recourses to ALL students, not just a few. When we grant fair opportunities to every child then we are making their successes more likely. We should help out our students in any way possible! #3310TXST

@ReannaG20 Agreed, it’s so sad that school is often seen as a chore. It is so important to create fun and engaging ways for children to learn, that way they won’t dread coming to school. We can make learning productive as well as fun when we put in that extra effort. Great point! #3310TXST

@brioliviertxst I couldn’t agree more, Bri. Progressivism was my favorite from this module and is 100% the teaching philosophy I will be using in my future classroom. We as teachers should want include our students in every way possible in the work we are doing! #3310TXST

I also do not want to be talking at my students. I want them to be engaged and eager to come learn in my classroom everyday. I think progressivism is a great way to ensure that. “Learn by doing” is an amazing concept for students, especially at such a young age! #3310TXST

I think doing right by every child means speaking up when something is wrong. We know our students so well and when we suspect they are struggling mentally or something is wrong at home it is our job to speak up and say something. Be an advocate for your students! #3310TXST

As teachers we need to remember that every student learns in a different way. Think back to when you were a child in school, some topics you got after the first lesson and others took a while for you to grasp. That is still true for students today. #3310TXST

There are many ways we can go about presenting information to students. When we cover different methods for the same topic and embrace children’s different way of thinking then we are acknowledging the diversity in our classroom. #3310TXST
