Catch me presenting an update on the state of the Jupyter4Science site, which was one of the outcomes of my @BetterSSw fellowship. See the latest blog post at https://t.co/08bKX8NIZb
@SciPyConf has the most welcoming community ❤️ I’m grateful for the opportunity to present my tutorial about turning @ProjectJupyter workflows into web apps with #nbdev. I can’t wait to incorporate all kinds of new visualizations and tools I learned into my @BetterSSw materials

This summer I’ve been mentoring these student interns funded by the @BetterSSw fellowship. They are incredible and I am so energized by their enthusiasm and hard work! I’m so grateful for the opportunity to improve my management and teaching skills with these wonderful humans :)
I just bought my t-shirt which will help raise funds for the inaugural @us_rse '23 Conference. I'm excited to announce that there is a women's cut! Now I can show off my RSE pride and be comfortable doing so 💁♀️https://t.co/jlks7qXjvi

Help! I’m looking for an article that describes best practices for conda environment files 🔎 Specifically, I want something that explains how to find the balance between listing the exact package versions and listing no version at all. Do any of my #RSE s have a link to share?
@JamesABednar@condaproject Okay, thanks very much for your detailed response! Not sure what would have happened last time since we were on the same WiFi, but there’s no telling now.
@JamesABednar@condaproject Dredging up an old thread here if you’re willing… My experience with lock files is that they aren’t very portable. Even when the person reproducing the env is on the same OS, the build can fail. Containers solve this problem, but sometimes I don’t expect my user to use them.

Technical question for @pyOpenSci@rOpenSci@posit_pbc folks. Do you have a guide on how to get started implementing identical python/R libraries with a shared C++ backend? looking for examples less complicated than the amazing https://t.co/xAnrps7bxN #Python#RStats#OpenScience
