The original vision Jeff had for 41 literally involved making Devens a permanent fixture on the show where people would exchange fire tokens with him for advantages 😭 this is just true
@Poplioa Obviously whether it’s correct or not death threats are unwarranted but in wheat world was it correct for them? It completely nuked their spots in the game. Morgan survived bc she pivoted, but Mickey had to win out every week afterwards and got evicted the first week she didn’t.
@TheDavefather This is a very valid take. 46 is second for me but I have always felt like 46’s first half is better than people give it credit for. Both are head and shoulders above the rest of the 40s for me
I’ve said it before but the reason 47 will always be the best 40s season is the absence of a true disaster tribe. If you count the Tiyana vote each tribe has two tribals pre jury + Rome’s downfall makes for a solid pre-jury and when jury hits we have a fully fleshed out cast
@ItsJoeSantos Tuku is definitely the least fleshed out tribe, but they’re still a far cry from people/tribes like the yellow tribe on 49, Charity/Chrissy on 48, Siga on 46, both non Tika tribes on 44, etc. You at least have a rough idea of everyone’s deal, even if Gata/Lavo have more going on
Every season with a disaster tribe the edit at merge is “the survivors of the disaster tribe and a bunch of extras we found off the street” unless there’s a tribe swap like in 45 or 49. 47 has an inherent advantage by being so even. It just feels more “complete”
@username25350 If I had a nickel for every survivor player who fit into this long and absurdly niche category I’d have two nickels, which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice, right?
The category is dominant winners who played again fresh off of their win as one of the biggest pre-season threats who proved why they were so skilled the first time around but slipped up in trusting the unknown quantity known for idols and got taken out first merge vote for it.
@_AustinNvrTexas I think this is fair in hindsight bc of Angelina’s 50 performance but realistically i think it would either be Aubry Mike Chrissy or Aubry Rick Chrissy tbh.
I actually didn’t hate the absence of the 20s because there was nobody I was DYING to see again from that era but I think if you cut 3 of the 30s people for Malcolm Abi and Wentworth the cast is a bit better. 3 from 1-10, 11-20, 21-30, and 31-40.
It is still insane to be how nobody that debuted in the 20’s was on season 50 of survivor like how did we jump from Coach to Aubry in order of first appearances 😭
I think if Charlie didn’t have the storyline he did in 46 Drew is probably on 50 over him and it really bums me out he wasn’t because every time I look back on 45 I appreciate what Drew brought to that season so much more. Easily my favorite New Era nerd.
@RealityInternn MJ is the biggest reason I say there’s a difference between a good player and a player in a good position because I was lowkey buying into the hype early jury bc she just seemed so well set up but then she won that HoH after Jankie week and showed none of it was intentional 😭
@DgoIsInTheHouse@Radshyguy This is a really common sentiment but I lowkey felt the opposite way. I played it when it first came out and felt like it was wildly overrated. Gave it a second shot last Christmas and enjoyed it so much more. Maybe it’s just because I had forgotten a lot of the wonder effects.
@nicguy101 Boston Rob is the only winner I will ever hold the weak competition/cast against because it’s a lot more egregious when you are the first 4x player ever and notable production fave with a cast of dodos vs a random face in the crowd with a bunch of dodos.
‘OBSESSION’ may become one of the only films in history to earn $100M+ on a budget of less than $1M.
The film is expected to earn more this weekend than it did in its opening weekend, a rare feat.
I mean this is kind of undermined by Jonathan repeatedly going “yeah I shoulda won idk what the jury was smoking, guess Cirie has some really strong mist or smth” in his exit press no? It’s clear that he thinks he could’ve (or at least should’ve) beat a woman at the end.
Jonathan's only chance at two million dollars was to sit next to two other men and be the alpha. I truly don't believe he targeted the women because he is a misogynist. I think he made an honest assessment that any woman would beat him in the end.
