@lilymcdwrites I think my point re how others view Oxbridge grads is a crucial component of my discomfort with the brand. I don't believe simply getting a place at a particular uni should carry more kudos than any other uni place/life experience - regardless of your background.

This is both wrong (how do you judge/who defines 'better') & actively harmful for culture/society.
