Still recovering from this powerful piece by @eduardomcuevas. Every time I hear @TheResilientJo1's story I become an emotional mess. Let's end this crisis.
Grateful that @charleskelleyla opened up to @EVargasTV on @ToEndAddiction's Heart of the Matter podcast. Listening to him talk about his wife and son brought tears to my eyes. That love is deep. I've been reading comments and it's beautiful to see how many people he's inspired.
.@charleskelleyla joins @EVargasTV on an all new #HeartOfTheMatter to talk about why he often hid his drinking from those closest to him, how his wife supported his recovery, and why it was important to be honest about @ladya's 2022 tour postponement. https://t.co/Lam6UxYVxd
'My favorite part is collaborating, listening and learning to what others are doing to make those changes.'

I truly don't get it. Deeply branded US media companies HBO, Facebook, Twitter are abandoning their cultural banners in favor of words and symbols that literally mean nothing. X? Meta? Max? Could there be less joyful, more Orwellian and sterile cases of downbranding? 🤔
Can't stop thinking about this incredibly powerful piece.
Kim Gillihan lost her baby boy to a fentanyl OD when he was 14. He'd just told her about his plans for the homecoming dance. Reading her story broke my heart.
“We thought we were doing all the right things,” she said.
It takes a special person who is willing to reopen their wounds to help others. And Kathy certainly is special.
I sit in awe at everything she does for @ToEndAddiction and the families we serve.
Linda Richter of @ToEndAddiction said she believes the money states receive from lawsuits and settlements that opioid makers have agreed to pay should go toward early childhood prevention. Listen here: https://t.co/ZDvmGw4zRm

In the midst of an unprecedented opioid crisis, we should be doing everything we can to make it easier for patients to obtain life-saving treatment for opioid use disorder. Eliminating the x waiver is an important first step. Thanks to @ariabendix for covering this change.
"The waiver requirement really served to limit access to an effective treatment for opioid use disorder during an unprecedented opioid crisis." -@LindseyCVuolo (VP of Health Law & Policy at @ToEndAddiction)
Awesome piece, @ariabendix.
SOTU Thread: @JoeBiden will include Doug Griffin from NH among guests for tonight's speech. Griffin lost his 20 year old daughter Courtney to #fentanyl OD in 2014. Biden is expected to talk about his administration's effort to improve drug treatment and target drug cartels. 1/
Great article that quotes the Beyoncé of addiction research, Linda Richter. She's been having a moment lately! Love to see it. Thanks for giving her the spotlight, @BobbyCalvan!
"Family involvement in treatment can reduce stigma and build the kind of social support network necessary for long-term medication adherence,” the Partnership’s Molly Bobek told @healthdaytweets’ Amy Norton.
