Moving tribute last night celebrating the retirement of a giant in the field of urology. Peter T Scardino MD has been the best leader, role model, mentor and friend for so many. Leaving a lasting legacy @MSKCancerCenter@UrologyMSK@easthamja@VickersBiostats @CharlesSawyers
I genuinely lament that over so many decades, with multiple “reports” highlighting the problems and detailing the solutions, and so many “plans” and “promises” made by politicians and @HSELive, that here we are. Nothing has changed. Getting worse. @DonnellyStephen @LeoVaradkar.
@samejw I do not agree with "suspending elective work until the ED crisis is solved". Urgent scheduled care has been given a 2 year back seat during Covid. ED and scheduled care both need to be managed, they are not mutually exclusive.
