Science of Italian Food @CatholicUniv Rome campus! We visited an olive grove and a delightful family who make *delicious* olive oil. How do they remove water from the oil in olives? Why is it "virgin" olive oil? It's chemistry in action! Thanks to Frantoio for being our hosts!
Week 3 of The Science of History @CatholicUniv in Rome! We visited the Capuchin Museum and crypt. A sheet stained by Padre Pio's stigmata wounds! The crypt is... something. We were discussing things that could be studied by radiocarbon dating.
Um... [waves at everything]
The @CatholicU_Chem course Science of Food and Cooking at the @CatholicUniv Rome campus visited Campo di Fiore! Overlooking the market is Giordano Bruno who was burnt at the stake here in 1600 for thinking the Earth moved and the universe was vast and populated with many worlds.
