An incredible lecture from the great Dr. Brant Pitre, showing how deep the roots of the papacy go.
When you understand the Old Testament and Jewish background, the meaning of Christ's words to St. Peter become all the more obvious and undeniable.

Canada strongly condemns the killing of protestors, the use of violence, arbitrary arrests, and intimidation tactics by the Iranian regime against its own people. We stand in solidarity with the Iranian people, whose voice must be heard, as they demand freedom and dignity.
What is the true meaning of life? What can free us from being trapped in meaninglessness, boredom and mediocrity? The fullness of our existence does not depend on what we store up or what we possess. Rather, fullness has to do with what we joyfully welcome and share. #JubileeOfYouth
🚨 EXPOSÉ ON CANADA'S 'FATHER OF ABORTION'
How did Henry Morgentaler go from Holocaust survivor to Canada’s most prolific abortionist?
We just released a bold exposé by our comms director @PeteBaklinski that overturns the myth of Morgentaler as a "hero" of "women's rights."

Friends, we come to Palm Sunday, which is also called Passion Sunday because we always read at Mass the Passion narrative from one of the synoptic Gospels. This year, we hear from Saint Luke, and I want to look at two elements unique to his particular version, both of which have to do with forgiveness.
St. Paul saw Christ as the rock that gave water to Israel in the desert (1 Cor 10:4).
Moses struck the rock, and life-giving water flowed (Ex 17).
So too, Christ’s side was pierced, pouring out water and blood for our salvation (Jn 19:34).
Later, God asked Moses to speak to the rock for water (Num 20).
Likewise when priests speak, the bread and wine become Christ’s life giving body and blood, sustaining us for eternal life.
