👋 from Kenya! We had the pleasure of visiting @BendaKithaka & the inspiring team at @KILELEHealthKE, one of our 🌎 grantees challenging the way we think about cervical cancer. Read about our visit & how KILELE is taking cancer prevention to new heights: https://t.co/LVvmV3xHyX
On the eve of what would have been her 103rd birthday, a settlement was reached b/n #HenriettaLacks’ family & Thermo Fisher Scientific over the use of her cells, taken without her consent in 1951 & have been the basis for major advancements in medicine. https://t.co/BVvzAd2XgK
🏳️🌈 Celebrating #PrideMonth means recognizing the need for #cancerprevention tailored to the #LGBTQ+ community. LGBTQ+-identifying people are more likely to face barriers to health care, which can result in disparities in cancer risk & treatment. 👇 https://t.co/JN6RHLIPce
Congratulations to #Sacramento@DorisMatsui You are indeed helping people in the greater Sacramento area through your leadership on early detection and to @preventcancer
So proud of Lisa’s tireless advocacy for cancer prevention & early detection through the @preventcancer Foundation’s Congressional Families Cancer Prevention Program.
Thank you @FLOTUS Jill Biden and the cancer moonshot for making prevention & early detection a top priority!
Tonight we were joined by @FLOTUS at our #CongressionalFamilies Cancer Prevention Program Spring Reception. #CancerMoonshot is bringing us one step closer to a world where cancer is preventable, detectable & beatable for all. Thank you, Dr. Biden, for your support!

Today we met with Benda Kithaka, Executive Director of @KILELEHealthKE, one of our 2022-2024 global grantees! With their grant, KILELE aims to reach 40,000 Kenyans & provide HPV vaccinations, cervical cancer screenings & treatment.
Our community grantees go above & beyond to provide #cancer care to their communities. Nothing should get in the way of that, but transportation is a common barrier to accessing #health care. So, we decided to do something about it. 👇 https://t.co/7RxZqdJH4U
February is National #CancerPreventionMonth. Routine cancer screenings can be lifesaving. Early Detection = Better Outcomes. Not sure what screenings you need? Take @PreventCancer’s personalized cancer screening quiz to find out! https://t.co/xQOW7waext #BetterOutcomes
Shout out to @nbcsnl for bringing back the boxes. 👀
Seriously though, screening can save your life (no 💩 in public required). According to our latest survey, nearly 1 in 5 eligible Americans have never had a #colorectalcancer screening. Learn more at https://t.co/mlmwVHsZ51
As we close out National #CancerPreventionMonth, it’s important to remind friends & family that routine screenings save lives and are mostly FREE thanks to our work & the Affordable Care Act.

Right now at UCSD, academic workers are rallying in support of Li Jiang, an international postdoc whose appointment is being terminated while she is 7 months pregnant, threatening her visa and her healthcare. We demand justice.
