She helped so many people get sober/diagnosed with bipolar, raised a great daughter, wrote some really good books, raised loads of money for aids research (and let her nursed her friend while he died of aids before they knew the cause)
She was a heroic princess on screen and off
I have to lose 20 pounds, clean my room, get a new job, be more outgoing, make more friends and change my wardrobe and fix my gut issues and stop sleeping late and get a masters and meal prep and stop being myself
I think it’s too bad that we treat the act of “apologizing” like some kind of degrading humiliation ritual. I actually think apologizing can be ego-serving in a positive way. Like, “This doesn’t fit my internal standards for who I am, I expect better from myself” kind of thing.
i find it weirdly poetic that if the ice during the free skate was messed up, misha was likely able to adapt because he's used to skating on less than ideal ice conditions. something that was a barrier to his success for so long became the reason he is an olympic champion.
