Yesterday someone tried to tell me we're better off without literacy because writing is a means of control. My friend, those who seek your oppression don't want you literate. The ability to read & communicate is our best defense against tyranny. And they're taking it from us.
While I'm glad the @thepwhlofficial made an effort to give players priority in the new, larger expansion... the process has been clear as mud and it feels incredibly unfair that Detroit ends up with six foundational signings (when all is said and done).
@Trunksthedj I like Third Place Books! They have a big store up in Lake Forest Park (off 522) but also a smaller store in the Ravenna area. Elliott Bay Books in Cap Hill is great too. There’s now a Barnes & Noble in what was the University Bookstore!
I'd love to know more details about this, as someone on the cusp of perimenopause. Glad to see that women's health, long neglected across all institutions, is getting some support and recognition.
Today, I signed an executive order to support women in the workplace who experience perimenopause and menopause symptoms.
This will ensure my cabinet agencies have appropriate measures in place to support state employees experiencing menopause symptoms.
As Governor, my administration will be a place where workers can serve the people of Washington and know they'll be supported. We'll share this expertise and guidance with employers all across our state.
We believe this is one of the most comprehensive single pieces of policy put forward to date combining worker protections with increasing health profession education on perimenopause and menopause.
"Women who read 30+ books a year aren't reading real books. Unlike me, who read 5 books last year. Those books were How to Trick People so you can Become Rich, Why Men Are Better, Why Emotions don't Matter, Money Money Money and Finance Bros don't need Hoes"
