Smart Detect is now in beta! Tucker volunteered as lead tester. New feature now locks the keyboard the moment it senses cat-style typing. #catslock#CatsOnTwitter#macOS
Smart Detect is now in beta! It locks your keyboard the moment paws are detected. New in v1.4. Runs on-device, never sees what you type.
We're trying to predict one of the most unpredictable creatures, so we're still learning. Your feedback is critical: https://t.co/kaMkkgviyh
Cats Lock v1.3 is here. 🐈
Work on an external keyboard? You can now lock just your laptop's built-in keyboard, so your cat can claim the warm laptop while you keep working.
We're now the only app on the Mac App Store that lets you do this. 🚀
@MCLang88 Yep! Flip on "Lock Function Keys" in Settings and it blocks the entire function row, F1 through F12, F6 included. So nothing up there fires while the keyboard's locked.

More keyboard for the cat, fewer surprises for you.
Cats Lock v1.2.1 is live on the Mac App Store, with function-row blocking so even the F-keys are paw-proof. Sprawl away, kitty. 🐾
@EITMonline
Catching this a few weeks late but super grateful for the coverage. Wish we were there sooner to help save Govt employees the trip to the Pentagon😹
That's the whole reason Cats Lock exists. Thank you all for getting it (or at least trying to) 🐾
@UFDTech proper thank you for the feature. Built this for my own cat Tucker so seeing it reach hundreds of thousands of people in a day is wild. Drinks on me if our paths ever cross.
Hands too full to reach the keyboard? Just ask Siri.
Cats Lock v1.1.2 is live. Open the Shortcuts app, add the Cats Lock actions, then say "Hey Siri, Enable Cats Lock." Your cat won't even see it coming.

It’s been a wild couple weeks, we so appreciate all the support from the indie dev community, especially @engadget@MacRumors@9to5mac@macstoriesnet
We will of course assume any negative comments were written by cats…
Cats Lock v1.1.1 just shipped to the Mac App Store.
Fixes the shortcut label for non-US keyboard layouts (it was showing "Key 44" instead of "ß" on German keyboards), plus dark + tinted icon variants for macOS Sequoia.
24 hours from email to fix. 🐾
new v1.1.0 is out now on the Mac App Store 🙀
✨ Lock from any app, anytime
✨ Customize your shortcut
✨ Hide from Dock, run as menu bar only
✨ Keep the screen awake while locked
Thank you to all the feedback that helped shape this release. Keep it coming.
Cats Lock is a one-person team (two if you count my cat). The feedback and bug reports from this launch have shaped the next release (v1.1.0 coming soon!)
Please keep sending them to [email protected]. I read every one. 🐾
This is the kindest take on Cats Lock yet. Indie dev isn't about reinventing the future. It's about fixing the moment your cat sits on your keyboard. Merci @Applemagoff
