5 main ingredients of successful storytelling:
-making the audience care
-take the audience with you
-be intentional
-make the audience like you
-delight the audience
Having several groups involved helps to build the movement on the experience, knowledge, emotion & expertise of the different groups involved. Not everyone will agree in the direction so itโs important that decisions are made democratically as there is more of a vertical logic.
#OUB329#wk16reflection@clementOU1 in activist leadership it is important to build coalitions of different people & groups which may link separate campaigns and orgs together to work on a movement campaign. This can improve the strength of the movement & gain rapid momentum.
It was interesting to learn about the other less extreme forms of resistance such as disagreement, cynical undermining of management initiatives & mockery.
#OUB329#wk15reflection@clementOU1 there are many examples that show resistance to leadership & the different ways that resistance is exerted. I always thought as resistance as more extreme organised action like protest marches, strikes & sabotage.
