They had a very strong presentation for this at CinemaCon, but obviously promoting it now has a whole big hurdle around it (also, from afar it seems odd for the author to be in a feud with the lead actress, not the studio or filmmakers, if she is unhappy with the adaptation?)
Someone needs to put together a timeline of Children of Blood and Bone because I’m a little confused on how Tomi and Amandla ended up falling out. I feel like when Amandla was cast Tomi supported her and wanted her for the role.
@vandj4ever This is very true…plus they know Eloise has solid fan interest enough to get G & H greenlit. It’s why Philoise was positioned back this far at the expense of what the fans wanted to see w/the family.
@vandj4ever At first I thought things would be worked out for the better bcuz of the usual change management/growing pains but now I fear the prod team is settled in w/their planned vision & whatever else they’re internally motivated by. We’re too deep in the series now.
@vandj4ever I’m sad about it…I can’t even let myself get too invested in Philoise, whom I was very much excited for. Most of the dynamics established in the books & even in the show already feel lost.
@vandj4ever I suppose it will be satisfactory?🫠. It’s just bewildering why they structured the show in this way - unnecessarily fostering fan wars for engagement. We came for the family dynamics, believing they would do right by all the ships in the process. I just don’t get it.
@vandj4ever It won’t be available to the public. The numbers that will be published in the report this month will have an additional month of views included beyond the 90days. Perhaps a clever foresight move in determining the release date just in case? lol
Fertility clinics in Florida are making calls this week. If you were born in China, Cuba, or 5 other countries, your surrogacy contract is now void. Not for anything you did, but for where you were born. And that's the gentle part of a law that took effect 3 days ago. Link below.
