When we tell people we plan to retire in our 30’s, we get funny looks
“What if your plan doesn’t work & you need to go back to work”🤔
That would mean our worst case scenario is the same as most peoples every day situation 👌🏻
“A promotion is recognition of the work you’re already doing—so work at that level and wait for it to be recognized.”
Fuck everything about that; “wait for your work to be rewarded” sounds like exactly how many successful people you know?
Has anyone ever saved up a couple million dollars in index funds and regretted the fact that they could have made 10x as much investing in the speculative investments du jour?
💖 this post so much!! 🙌💜
"I get stressed about ACTUAL problems, not ones that are made up by a boss or wrapped in a client’s ego. Overall, I’m not sure I’ve ever felt this calm. " https://t.co/yx30yWiJ15 via @APurpleLifeBlog
@fimechanic Do what makes you happy. If you think the price is justified then go for it, but I agree with everyone else. The landlord losing 50 a month for a stable renter is totally justified. Is the landlord taking bids? Why did the price go up?
Person A: I have about a million bucks, and I couldn't be happier. Life's good.
Person B: I have $10 million, but it feels like I have nothing. I need more!
Don't be Person B.
I like this version of #FIRE from @EducatorFI:
FIOR – Financial Independence Optional Retirement
Most of us who FIRE still work! It's just on our own terms and usually not work-work :)
Congrats on the big move, Ed 👊
