@RealTeaWithTia@iiwasinthee212 In Texas and many US states murder does not need to be premeditated. An intent to cause serious bodily injury resulting in death is more than enough. Stabbing someone in the chest is murder.
@RealTeaWithTia@iiwasinthee212 Stabbing someone in the chest is murder. The only question that remains is: was the murder justified, i.e. self-defence?
The obvious answer is no: could have left, no danger of serious bodily harm, was active in the conflict, etc...

@SCRIZZLLEE@Fullcourtpass@MrBuckBuckNBA Why do ya’ll always have to downplay a man to hype up another? They both have that dog in them bruh, hyper competitive hyper driven elite players. It’s an exciting time to be an nba fan
@MaxSpikeAl@asparagoid Practical motive is a poor determiner of what constitutes a worthwhile pursuit. Once survival needs are fulfilled, "practical" becomes an empty category.
@AgfAab@WembyAlienEra You are making a category error. Wemby refuses the soda sponsor because Coca Cola is selling a harmful products to the consumer not because of supply chain concerns. You won't see him endors a cigarette company or fast food joint, that would be hypocritical.
@JohnnyMcIvor Japan is fantasised because of its cultural exports, admittedly of high quality. But even things japan do worse is still romanticised, like their infamous electric street cables or jarring advertisement billboards which because of anime still feel amazing to see the first time.
@JohnnyMcIvor This is only a secondary reason. The main reason is simply cultural export. When you immerse yourself in the cultural products of another country growing up, you invariably romanticise it. The US felt magical to me as a kid and going to LA the first time was a dream.
@noreallystfu Murder is not inherently bad, stop using that word like a magic spell. They murdered this baby and it was the right decision. His life was sweet and short instead of long and painful for them.
These dilemmas only work if you accept death as the worst most horrific outcome. I dont. psychological or physical torture is orders of magnitude worse, which is why humans had to invent hell.
would you rather kill one human or one blue whale? | would you rather kill 25,000 humans or 25,000 blue whales? (that's all the blue whales, you are extincting the whales)
@TiminJillsson@Plasma_Legion This is a great example illustrating how racists will use anything to give their bigotry the veneer of rational thinking. Never believe them, it’s all visceral primate emotions.
@shelbyruthellis People are so stupid and envious. So the girl that grew up with 24/7 media attention from age 0 with an erratic father with bipolar disorder and a mother that is polarising and started her career with a sextape is too privileged to feel psychological anguish? Fuck them
@publicinte Also to think that "race" is the only relevant group identity for social harmony is laughable. Societies have and will fracture on a number of fault lines with race being only one of the latest. But primate brained people like you treat it as the only relevant category. end.
@publicinte e.g. Qin dynasty in ancient China, racially homogenous, one of the harshest legal system in history, riddled with crimes (bandit gangs, theft, etc..) and constant civil unrest partly to due to the harsh law.
