Daniel Levy | Former Israeli Peace Negotiator | US/Middle East Project (@USMEP):
Even Netanyahu has acknowledged that direct Congressional aid for Israel is bad politics. So the approach is shifting towards disguise.
A bill moving through Congress would replace direct funding with joint weapons development programs.
Israel would still get American taxpayer subsidies, but embedded in shared development - weapons it can then sell & profit from.
The deeper goal is mutual dependence - not Israel dependent on America, but a relationship that works both ways.
This is just one example of the pieces Israel can still bring into play, even when things look bleak.
Harvest theft, now in Mneizel: Settlers are stealing the wheat crops grown by Palestinians on village lands, as well as grazing their sheep in privately owned fields. This is yet another cruel way to harm Palestinian farmers, steal the crops they work hard to grow
Haaretz:
This is how the Israeli government systematically and deliberately buried the two-state solution: 103 nails in the map’s coffin.
During its term in office, Netanyahu’s government approved the establishment and legalization of dozens of settlements in strategic locations across the West Bank.
The objective was to create irreversible facts on the ground, effectively killing any potential future political process.
Even if a future governing coalition sought to reverse this course, experts agree that it would face an impossible task.
🔴 Israeli lawmaker Ofer Cassif, the only Jewish member of the anti-occupation Hadash party in the Knesset, said lawmakers defeated a bill that would have barred the Red Cross from visiting Palestinian detainees in Israeli prisons.
🔹Cassif said the proposed law was meant to prevent the world from seeing “the marks of torture and inhumane conditions” on Palestinian prisoners, adding: “The government can’t hide its crimes against humanity forever.” He called for the immediate resumption of Red Cross visits.
⭕️ More than 9,400 Palestinians are currently imprisoned by Israel, including approximately 90 women, 360 children, and 3,324 Palestinians held without charge or trial under administrative detention, according to new figures released by Palestinian prisoner institutions.
The report says between 9,400 and 9,500 Palestinians have remained in Israeli prisons throughout much of 2026, among the highest prisoner populations on record.
Among detainees from Gaza, the report says 1,316 remain imprisoned under Israel’s “unlawful combatant” law, while 2,249 have been identified through documentation by the Palestinian Commission of Detainees’ Affairs.
It estimates that more than 11,000 people from Gaza have been detained since October 7, though that figure includes those later released or killed and is not considered precise.
The report also notes that no official figures or names have been released for alleged members of Hamas’ Nukhba unit held in the Rakafet section of Ramla Prison, saying no accurate statistics are available. Human rights groups and former detainees have documented the most severe torture and abuse against prisoners held under Israel’s “unlawful combatant” regime, including those accused of belonging to Hamas’ Nukhba unit.
Since 2025, the report says 2,724 Palestinian prisoners have been released through prisoner exchange agreements, with many more released outside those exchanges.
Israel just bombed tents sheltering displaced Palestinians in Al-Mawasi, Khan Younis, Gaza.
The strike is massive and flames engulfed the tents.
At least 5 Palestinians killed including a baby girl.
Hezbollah does not have an underground tunnel system in Southern Lebanon. There has never been any evidence of one presented.
I investigated in Lebanon for five months, spoke with all kinds of people including Hezbollah opponents, and nobody ever claimed it.
🚨 Israel strikes Khan Younis, killing two and wounding more than 20
Two Palestinians were killed and more than 20 others wounded in an Israeli drone strike targeting displaced people in the Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis, according to medical sources speaking to Al-Jazeera.
Earlier in the day, a Palestinian man was killed after being shot by Israeli forces in the town of Al-Qarara, northwest of Khan Younis, according to WAFA.
At least six Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip on Monday.

Froun, in southern Lebanon, lies just south of the Litani River, well outside Israel’s so-called “Security Zone”.
It is one of two “pilot zones” under the trilateral framework agreement between Israel, Lebanon and the US, where Israeli troops are to withdraw and be replaced by the Lebanese Army.
But Froun has never been occupied by Israel, and the Lebanese Army already has full access.
Today we spoke to the mayor and residents, who were left perplexed by the announcement.
Full report to follow.
They're Still Pushing The Ethnic Cleansing Of Gaza
Israel was founded on the premise that the country’s previous inhabitants need to be eliminated in some way.
That’s all this has ever been about.
It was never about October 7.
It was never about Hamas.
It was never about hostages.
It was never about terrorism.
It was never about self-defense.
It was never about any of the countless excuses the hasbarists and imperial spinmeisters have offered up over the last three years to justify Israel’s monstrous abuses.
It was only ever about eliminating Palestinians because of their ethnicity and replacing them with Jews.
Anyone who tells you otherwise is lying.

Israeli government now supplies drones to West Bank "settlers".
Rights groups say the drones are used to fly low over Palestinian shepherds and farmers to scatter livestock, intimidate residents, and gather intelligence.

🚨 Reports indicate that Israel has been concentrating over 2 million Palestinians into increasingly smaller areas within Gaza, effectively compressing the population into shrinking, overcrowded zones amid ongoing displacement.
This is yet more proof that Western institutions should not be granted the legitimacy they enjoy. It’s time to create real legitimate international institutions that represent all Journalist, all writers, all Artists, all academics, and so on. The West simply cannot be trusted and they do not deserve the legitimacy they have been given
💢New: 3 Palestinians, among them a child, were killed and others wounded in an Israeli airstrike on Deir al-Balah in central Gaza on Monday morning, the latest in continued ceasefire violations, according to local media.
Felesteen Online reported the strike was near Zadna bakery southwest of the city, with the dead and wounded taken to al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital.
Elsewhere, Israeli forces detonated homes and civilian buildings northeast of Khan Younis, shelled the city’s eastern neighborhoods, and opened fire alongside drone-dropped bombs on the Bureij and Nuseirat camps in central Gaza, sending bullets into homes and spreading panic among residents.
The reported U.S.-Israel-Lebanon framework resembles a separate proposal the Trump administration has reportedly been pursuing with the Palestinian Authority. According to earlier reporting by Jacob Magid of The Times of Israel, Washington has been discussing a memorandum of understanding under which the PA would commit to a 20-point reform plan, including governance, education and welfare reforms, halting international legal action against Israel, and combating “incitement.” In return, the U.S. would express readiness to lift sanctions on the PA upon completion of reform, potentially support the eventual reopening of the PLO mission in Washington, and back a future U.S.-led peace process, with the PA ultimately playing a governing role in Gaza after redevelopment and reforms.
🔗 Ussama Makdisi commenting on the Lebanon-Israel framework, says “Israel sees two models for Lebanon: one is the West Bank model” ⬇️
There are many shocking provisions in the scandalous “agreement” signed by Lebanon and the Israeli regime, but none more shocking than point 13 whereby Lebanon purports to give up its international legal claims against the Israeli occupation. But a news flash for the US-Israel Axis: Article 47 of the 4th Geneva Convention explicitly states that protected persons in occupied territories cannot be deprived of the benefits of the Convention“by any agreement concluded between the authorities of the occupied territories and the Occupying Power." The rights and protections guaranteed under IHL
cannot legally be signed away or contractually waived, not by Lebanese officials, not by the occupying Israeli regime, and not by its complicit US ally. Point 13 is null and void as a matter of law, and the other provisions of this absurd surrender deal will eventually follow it into the trash bin of history.
🇸🇾 Israeli Forces Fire on Syrian Press Team During Daraa Incursion
🔹A Syrian news crew came under Israeli gunfire while reporting on a newly established Israeli position in the Yarmouk Basin of western Daraa, in southern Syria, the state broadcaster al-Ekhbariah said. Footage showed one of its journalists, wearing a press vest, running for cover.
🔹The fire came during an Israeli ground incursion into Abidin village in Syria’s southern Daraa province, near the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights and the Jordanian border, where a force of military vehicles established a temporary position on a nearby hill before opening fire toward surrounding farmland, according to Syria’s SANA news agency.
🔹The raid is one of what have become near-daily Israeli incursions into southern Syria since the fall of the Assad government in December 2024. By one tracker’s count, Israeli forces have carried out more than 1,100 ground incursions and over 1,000 airstrikes inside Syria since then, in violation of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.
Potevi uccidere, anzi: ti incoraggiavano a farlo”. Queste parole sembrano descrivere esattamente quello che accade nella Striscia dal 2023. Eppure no, risalgono a decenni prima.
