@akyra_0 Spot on. I love the chain and trust the founders and have invested accordingly, but the deadlines for a Universal Burn keep slipping. I trust it is coming soon, but without it, value accrual for CC looks poor despite “winning the game.”

@Mars_DeFi @CantonNetwork Good post, but I didn’t see the real missing piece before the token can capture value, a CIP extending burn to all subnets. Yuval says on schedule for CIP this month once initial onboarding completed, implementation H1 2027.

@akyra_0 Thanks. CC/CNTN are large overweights for me, but without a meaningful Universal Burn/Mainnet Extension CIP that brings burns beyond the GS to subnets, value capture is scant and theoretical. Without the CIP intro/passing this month as again promised, I will need to diversify.

@MarkHartBC Pleased to meet you. Fellow investor with overly large allocation to CC, CNTN. Sole missing jigsaw piece to the thesis is the absence of a Universal Burn/Main-net Extension CIP Yuval last promised by early Sept. Without it, 99% of activity is on subnets which do not burn CC.

@Canton_Catalyst This CIP was all about rewards, no? How is that a rejection of universal,burn/main net extension? I believe DA is essentially running a free trial for onboarded institutions and once they realize the value, will propose a universal burn CIP. LMK if I am wrong.

@LeilaniFarms I believe what is happening is CC is essentially offering major institutions a free trial. Once they realize the utility, they are hoping they vote themselves a tax of needing to burn CC for subnet validator burn. Makes sense, but the last piece of the puzzle for CC to rock.

@LeilaniFarms I enjoy your posts and hold large Canton position as I believe it is best alt going forward IF value capture is realized by the token. Without a meaningful universal burn/mainnet extension CIP by the latest deadline of early Sept, I will be selling. Hate to, but val cap vital.
