Well well well… I guess real baseball matters again… and it wins. Don’t strike out. Get the ball in play. Hustle, steal bases, throw strikes, compete. Yea, bombs are good… but so are doubles, singles, bunt for hits, moving runners … pressure on defense. Why has it taken this long to figure it out! That’s what pisses me off. Winning Baseball ….. well it wins! At every level.

I ran another NorCal ⚾️ update (first complete update in a while, since playoffs are winding down). SOS scores were updated, in addition to player stats.

These are the WAR leaders for 370 schools from Fresno to the Oregon border, broken down by grad class!

Hitters
The only time striking out is somewhat acceptable is with a 3-2 count and an expanded strike call.
Expand the zone with 2 strikes.
Choke up, spread out, take the plate away and compete like a JYD.
When the count goes full you shrink the zone and make him throw a real strike.
Full count walks fuel offenses and destroy pitchers.
