If Phil Castellini did fire Nick Krall there’s not a bit of reason to believe the next person would be an improvement. The problem comes from the way the Castellini family has mismanaged the organization. Nepotism, insularity, extreme risk aversion, out-of-date thinking.

They’ve gotten so far off track that they can’t make logical decisions. Their lack of SP depth forces them to keep Singer, which leads to them extending a QO. He accepts it, taking up a sizable chunk of the 2027 payroll, which forces them to make dumb trades like Cruz for Trevino and Sirota for Lux.

Westry is a 6-6 playmaker who averaged 15.5 points, 5.5 assists, and 1.3 steals in 30.6 minutes per game last season while shooting 48.7% from the field and 24.1% from 3-point range.

@matthewwinick I think I just struggle with the word overpay. If you like a guy, think he fits your systems and have the money, go get him. Based on the numbers I've seen thrown around for the other starting caliber centers in the portal, I don't think it's all that crazy
