The imaging pipeline for the new 8 band satellite Planet just announced was my primary focus for about the last two years.

These images look like instantaneous captures but they're actually tightly registered composites from dozens of frames.

@elkelk I don't board early, but no one has mentioned the real reason it's unfortunately optimal - it minimizes time spent in the jet bridge line. If you wait at gate chair until the last min you always end up standing in line and that's less fun than being settled
