Applications are open for the CBAI AIxBiosecurity Research Fellowship Program — a new fellowship for researchers working at the intersection of AI and biosecurity, full-time, in-person, from June 8 to August 10.

You'll receive a stipend of $10,000, housing, 24/7 office access, up to $20,000 in compute, and direct mentorship from some of the best minds in the field.

This is a truly unique opportunity if you've been looking for an opportunity in the intersection of AI safety and biosecurity.

Some example projects: measure AI-enabled expert uplift in the wet lab with @ActiveSiteBio; red-team frontier bio design tools like ESM3 and Evo2; develop commec and KYC standards for synthetic DNA screening with @IBBIS_bio; shape global DNA synthesis oversight across the EU, China, and ASEAN; work with @kesvelt and @SecureBio on AI-bio safeguards; prototype ASTRAL-style activity scanners for LLM log risk assessment with Jeffrey Lee from RAND, and other researchers that we will add in the next few days.
