When the art room is within earshot of the gym 👍
When you have the keys to both 👍👍
Ideas seem to flow better when I can hear kids active in the gym.
“Creactivity” - yes... I just did that.
Learn & adapt. I’ve learned it’s best to keep the blinds closed at the back of the class on Tuesday mornings. Why? Because they empty the garbage bins immediately outside the windows every Tuesday. Apparently, to middle school students it’s as exciting as a new puppy. 🤷🏻♂️
Excellent documentary. Intertwined in Jesse's story, I believe there's a lot for Coaches to reflect on / learn from Molly's communication style. Are we not just "sharing our eyes" as well? https://t.co/rQteQATb3Q
Moved into a new classroom this year. Found this box in a corner of the supplies room and it contained ONE note. I think it’s a great reminder for Teachers and even more so for Coaches… so I’m going to leave it right where it is.
The last time I was alone in this gym was the night before our 2017 National final... today I found that solitude once again on the morning of our last camp day.
It’s a new norm” but we did it safely and with joy.
Many thanks to @PISEworld, the athletes, families & coaches.
Hey
@DensmoreChris
Okay... not a "coaching pic" but instead, a pic of coaches from the 2018 BC Summer Games.
Posting this memory is in recognition of the Coaches & Coaching that would have taken place at the 2020 BC Summer Games in Maple Ridge.

Still happy to encounter new things... kind of?
I’ve never had to brush 6 inches of snow off the car while holding an umbrella.
Thanks for the first time experience #nanaimo
@RTGrinder1 Which one is the “most”
Interesting?
Removing the open hand tip is mine. I’m curious how often than play actually happens in international volleyball (probably less than it could?)
Sometimes it feels like the teams you pull for never win... then there’s days like today at the Manhattan Beach Open (well... 2/3. Would have liked to see Wilkerson in the final)
Also... it was a great weekend to start Amazon Prime’s free 30 day trial to access the AVP 😉

We can be taught the science of coaching in the classroom or online but we can only learn the art of coaching through experience plus thoughtful reflection and constructive feedback. Of course we need the science but without the art it’s not coaching.
In club volleyball, you need both great training and the opportunity to play. If a coach says they want you to drop a high school sport in order to play with their club, look for another club. The best collegiate players play multiple sports in high school.
