@adater That story doesn't really line up. Might be true that they were considering Sakic and passed, but Hull wasn't even on the team yet. Sakic was drafted in 87 and Hull was traded to St. Louis in 88.
@GarretHohl@PuckIQ I didn't see how I could be misinterpreting it, but even as one of his biggest fans I could hardly believe that so I had to ask haha. Insane!
@HskrsStarsBucs@Ken_Campbell27 Benn's punch deserved a penalty all on its own. Scheifele and Benn coincidentals to start. Tanev for third man in. Benn second rough for the punch to even it up.
@WPGMurat Did we get better? Did we possibly get worse? I don't know that Tanev even beats out anyone on this roster and while Schenn probably takes out Miller, I think I'd rather Miller.
@GarretHohl In saying that, I do agree in principle that it shouldn't be held against a player as any worse of a mistake as just dumping it out of your zone to the other team.
@GarretHohl Not defending just chipping the puck out, as I do hate that, but I do think the neutral zone turnover does have more potential of a quick shift up ice. Thinking specifically if your team is changing as they expect you to keep possession.
@ScottBilleck To me the most egregious part of this was Monahan deciding to go for a line change with 10 seconds left when MacKinnon was like one stride away away from him with the puck. He engages him and he probably can't make that pass. Or at least gives Vilardi a bit more time to get back.
