Yesterday, I attempted to submit my absentee ballot in person in Utqiaġvik but was told that the absentee ballot materials had not yet arrived at the North Slope Borough precinct. I later learned they hadn’t arrived at the Northwest Arctic Borough precinct in Kotzebue either. 🧵

My town of Delta Junction Alaska has the highest percentage of Ukrainian people in the US with 16.4% of residents here born in Ukraine and an even higher total number having Ukrainian ancestry. There were some grim faces here today. 1/2
