I have strong feelings about tariffs and trade wars as we are neighbors to the north here in Michigan, and it is really impacting that affordability, right, and that access of life.

"What I’m proudest of is the culture we built, where people felt safe, supported, and encouraged to do their best work. I think that’s what leadership really is: competence with people and care for them, and it’s what’s missing in politics today." https://t.co/v2nK57MQCF
Third-party candidate Brett Smith wants to 'spoil it for both of them' in Oregon governor's race. Smith, 44, is a tradesman who has not held elected office. He invented a medical device and has multiple patents. https://t.co/x0f0dBE8wp
“We see a lot of campaigns recruiting students to be at the entry levels of their campaign teams but not really ever having an assertive amount of power and engagement,” Papari said. “I wanted to flip the script on that in my campaign.”

“We (should) have retired judges and possibly college professors and a few other people on a on a committee that does everything from redistricting to eliminate gerrymandering to just running the operations of elections,” Karas said. https://t.co/zRDLVRUQL6
Upping the stakes, a third-party candidate, bar-owner and former Medford City Councilor Clay Bearnson, backed by the Independent and Pacific Green parties, entered the race in late July. Although he’s drawn far fewer campaign dollars than his major-party peers, his name on the ballot could ultimately draw enough votes from either Hicks or Krause to determine their fates.
“My race right now absolutely 100% demonstrates the problems in our politics, the two cancers in our government: money in politics and this mythical two-party system,” he said.

In my announcement video I connected imperial Israel not only to slaughter and aggressive war, but to illicit use of taxpayer dollars, cost of living increases, militarization of police, assaults on free speech https://t.co/rufuUcp2ay
"If you look at a lot of our issues, whether it be cost of living, whether it be resiliency, regreening Lahaina, all of these things are almost always related right back to the health of our environment." https://t.co/XGwlOOhCpo
Hardcore Punk band Turnstile has raised over $200,000 in humanitarian aid from their benefit concert at the Washington Monument in Washington, D.C.
The concert flyer states that the money raised will be raised for Human Concern International and split evenly for relief efforts in P*lestine, Lebanon, and Sudan.
The daytime concert drew over 60,000 attendees and was within earshot of the White House. Between songs, chants of "Free P*lestine" filled the air as the band delivered a high-energy, historic performance.
Turnstile joins a growing list of artists and performers who join the P*lestine solidarity movement, taking it a step further and playing right in the heart of the financiers of the G*za g*nocide.
