Hi @iswc_conf, icymi the #ISWC2024 website is down. I have received numerous requests to our tutorial link. I am happy to follow up, but I am sure others (participants or other interested parties) may be looking for content. Thanks for looking into this.

Very proud of my colleague for this recognition by @NSF . 🥳
With the addition of this award, the #ComputerScience Department @ualbany@SUNY must have one of the highest ratios of #CAREER winners among its faculty in the nation!!
Computer Science faculty member Abram Magner's project, “CAREER: Theoretical Foundations for Learning Network Dynamics”, has been awarded $584,993.00 by the National Science Foundation! Congratulations! #research#cnse#computerscience#ualbanyengineering@ualbany#Inspire
@dutran Two questions before forwarding to my PhD students. Is the internship virtual? Otherwise, what is the location? What else do you need the students to share with you apart from their resume? Thanks
The funny thing is that students think they deserve the 👍 but they in fact get much more benefited by other kind.. My advice is to embrace criticism/feedback and learn from it
I'm looking for research assistants this semester to work on projects incl. data collection, analysis & running experiments to mitigate misinformation
Ideal for third/final yr undergrads or masters students

@francoisfleuret It probably differs by person. For some it may be linear algebra or probability. For others it may be statistics or measure theory.. and so on
To put it a bit differently, go work with @KyriakiKalimeri for a year, learn and grow while enjoying doing research, and then commit for a PhD just to extend your stay there :-)

Stratos making a case for the existence of "a calculus for data systems" while unexpectedly referencing #Greek philosopher Nikos Kazantsakis #BigData2023. Ultimately the problem boils down to #pareto#optimization
End-to-end #datasystems broader than #sql. Stratos Idreos is giving his keynote at the #IEEE#BigData2023 right now. Unsurprisingly, the big consideration is data movement. The other is changing needs (different #Analytics). How then to build an #optimal system?

Also inspiring that the paper is authored by just 3 collaborators. It's quite rare these days to see small teams excel 👍 Congratulations to the authors
Congrats to the #NeurIPS2023 Outstanding Paper Award winners, particularly Thomas Steinke (@shortstein), Milad Nasr (@srxzr), and Matthew Jagielski for their paper "Privacy Auditing with One (1) Training Run"!
Super nice work which really advances privacy auditing!
