We are going to save the Great Salt Lake.
As the only Utahn on the House Appropriations Committee, I helped secure an initial $10 million to create a new Great Salt Lake Watershed Recovery Program. This is the first step toward delivering President Trump’s $1 billion commitment to help save the lake.
I look forward to working with the White House, Congress, and Utahns to deliver on one of our most pressing issues.

In Utah for the “Make the Lake Great Again” roundtable with @GovCox and federal leaders, to call on Congress to fulfill @POTUS’ $1B budget request.
GSL is core to the West’s natural heritage. No country has ever saved a declining saline lake, but America will be the first 🇺🇸

“Young Republicans respond far better to a message of ‘here’s how we can make energy cleaner and stronger’ than to doom-and-gloom or all-or-nothing rhetoric. They’re not opposed to energy development, and they’re not opposed to climate action either.”

This is an important step in accelerating geothermal energy, an American-made, reliable power source that strengthens energy independence, supports local economies, and proves we can produce cleaner energy without sacrificing affordability or reliability. Proud to see this kind of forward momentum from the BLM.

“Permitting reform should make the process clearer, faster and more predictable so that well-designed projects can move forward while still meeting strong standards. Done right, it reduces costs, speeds deployment and benefits both communities and the economy.”
