Genuinely the best thing that can happen to American soccer culture is to lean in to what makes us unique with our college football culture opposed to doing our version of European soccer culture
College gameday style atmospheres is a great start
Holy guacamole. Philly DA Larry Krasner was just caught lying by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. *ONE DAY LATER* His senior attorney supervisor is suspended for 3 years. Why? They have a secret policy about trying to free everyone that got a death penalty. And lied to the court.
With 26 senators now backing the INSULIN Act, momentum continues to grow on both sides of the aisle for our common-sense bill that lowers costs and helps families in Maine and across the country afford the lifesaving medication they need.
Thank you, @SenSanders, for your endorsement of our bipartisan insulin affordability bill during yesterday’s HELP markup.
The landmark INSULIN Act that I introduced with @SenatorShaheen, @SenatorWarnock, and @SenJohnKennedy would cap the cost of insulin at $35 per month for Americans on private and employer-sponsored insurance and create a pilot program to provide insulin at the same cost to Americans without insurance.

We’re moving the ball down the field.
Our Protect College Sports Act establishes guardrails, protects student athletes, & allows schools to pool media rights to generate more revenue.
This isn’t a red jersey vs. blue jersey issue—it’s about protecting an American institution.
By the way my phone is buzzing, it's come to my attention that this is now at the exact center of my Venn diagram of beats: A Senator pushing college sports legislation laying out for a web gem at Nationals Park.
Clearly the biggest sports news of last night:
Sen. Eric Schmitt (R., Mo.), a co-sponsor of the Protect College Sports Act, made a diving catch during the Congressional baseball game that made it onto SportsCenter's Top 5.
All but five of 34 Big Ten & SEC presidents/chancellors participated in two separate ~30-minute calls with Sens. Ted Cruz, Maria Cantwell and Eric Schmitt today, sources tell @YahooSports.
The Brendan Sorsby situation "would have never happened" under the bill, lawmakers said.
Though the statements don't mention it, I'm told that Sen. Eric Schmitt--a cosponsor of the Protect College Sports Act--was also on the call.
I interviewed him about the bill last week: https://t.co/1mF7Qp5l1G
