The next attempt came from a reporter pressing Leavitt on reports of Israeli forces firing on Palestinians in Gaza.

It was an obvious setup—another opportunity for the media to paint the administration as either complicit or indifferent, even for something happening beyond American borders.

“There are now reports that Israeli forces are firing on Palestinians trying to get aid from the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation,” the reporter said.

“Is this administration aware of this? And what is being done to address this situation?”

Leavitt immediately flipped through her notes, she was ready and she had the receipts.

She responded by turning the media narrative on its head—reminding the press that some sources don’t deserve automatic trust.

“The administration is aware of those reports and we are currently looking into the veracity of them, because unfortunately unlike some in the media, we don’t take the word of Hamas with total truth.”

Then she laid out a brutal example of how media outlets had already run with unverified—and ultimately false—claims.

“We like to look into it when they speak, unlike the BBC, who had multiple headlines: they wrote ‘Israeli tank kills 26,’ ‘Israeli tank kills 21,’ ‘Israeli gunfire kills 31,’ ‘Red Cross says 21 people were killed in an aid incident’—and oh wait, they had to correct and take down their ENTIRE story.”

She paused, then added:

“Saying we reviewed the footage and couldn’t find any evidence of anything. Oh, okay!”

Leavitt used the moment to drive home a point not just about this story—but about media behavior more broadly.

“So we are going to look into reports before we confirm them from this podium and before we take action.”

And she had a final message for those pushing falsehoods:

“I suggest that journalists who actually care about truth do the same to reduce the amount of misinformation that’s going around the globe on this front.”

Karoline Leavitt didn’t wait for the media to set the tone—she fired the first shot.

Before a single question was asked, she went straight after The Washington Post for what she called a dishonest and manipulative headline on the fentanyl crisis.

Their headline: “The mysterious drop in fentanyl seizures on the U.S.-Mexico border.”

Leavitt called it what it was: spin.

“How is this mysterious?” she asked.

“There is no mystery about why there is a decrease in fentanyl coming into the United States!”

She pointed directly to the administration’s border policies and cooperation with Mexico as the reason for the decline.

“This administration’s strong border policies are the reason there has been a decrease in fentanyl trafficking,” she said.

“His strengthened relationship with Mexican President Sheinbaum and all of the measures he has been taking to deter illegal human and drug trafficking at our United States southern border is the reason for plummeting fentanyl seizures at the U.S. Border.”

But the issue wasn’t just the headline.

It was what Leavitt described as intentional narrative engineering.

“This is clearly trying to intentionally manipulate the minds of Americans, and I think the American people understand why there has been fentanyl drop.”

And when the Post ignored the administration’s full explanation?

“Our office responded to this inquiry, we provided a whole host of the reasons that fentanyl seizures have dropped at the southern border, and The Washington Post refused to run them,” she said.

“And that’s despicable.”

• Christina Kohler:

• Long Nguyen
Former deputy, Long Nguyen’s death on Feb 26 was confirmed as a suicide by the county medical examiner, with no detailed public information on the method of death. He was reportedly fighting for some kind of internal reforms.

• Three deaths (Kohler, Vasquez, Bozeman) occurred within a week (March 13–20), with Nguyen’s six weeks prior. This rapid sequence is statistically impossible for a single agency.

The mathematical chances of four Harris County Sheriff's Office deputies dying by suicide in a six-week period, under typical conditions, is approximately 0.0000986%, or 1 in 1,014,000.

• The autopsy and toxicology reports are withheld, standard practice, but Without details on methods (e.g., gunshot, overdose), it’s impossible to independently verify consistency with suicide or rule out coercion or staging. All ruled by the same medical examiner.

• Kohler’s disappearance before death stands out as a huge red flag. Missing person cases transitioning to suicide rulings stink of foul play, especially if the investigation is expedited.

President Trump has directed the declassification of all FBI files tied to the Crossfire Hurricane probe, the notorious "Russian Collusion" inquiry. These records might unveil evidence implicating Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama conspiring directly against a sitting president. Per John Durham’s findings, CIA Director John Brennan informed Obama and Biden in August 2016 of Clinton’s scheme to link Trump’s campaign to Russia.

Crossfire Hurricane was the FBI’s 2016 counterintelligence investigation into possible ties between Trump’s campaign and Russia. Special Counsel John Durham’s report, released May 15, 2023, concluded: The FBI lacked “actual evidence” of collusion to justify a full investigation when it launched Crossfire Hurricane on July 31, 2016. The FBI mishandled the probe, relying on “raw, unanalyzed, and uncorroborated intelligence” (e.g., the Steele dossier, linked to Clinton’s campaign via Perkins Coie). Durham criticized the FBI’s failure to vet intelligence about a “Clinton Plan” to tie Trump to Russia, which he argued should have influenced their approach. Durham’s report specifically notes a briefing on August 3, 2016, where CIA Director John Brennan informed President Obama, Vice President Biden, and other officials (e.g., James Comey, James Clapper) about intelligence suggesting Clinton approved a plan on July 26, 2016, to vilify Trump by alleging Russian interference. Brennan’s declassified notes, released by Ratcliffe in October 2020, corroborate this, stating:

The “Clinton Plan” intelligence suggests her campaign pushed a narrative to tie Trump to Russia, possibly to deflect from her email scandal. Durham links this to the Steele dossier, funded by Clinton’s campaign and the DNC. Will we find direct evidence she personally orchestrated Crossfire Hurricane? Jake Sullivan, a Clinton advisor (now Biden’s National Security Adviser), denied knowledge of such a plan. "Surprisingly." Hillary literally gets away with murder. Obama was briefed on the Clinton Plan but took no "documented action," to initiate or steer Crossfire Hurricane. Or they never documented it, which is most likely what they did to cover up the truth. Durham faults the FBI, not Obama, for investigative failures. Claims of Obama “weaponizing” the intelligence community remain opinion, but the writing is all over the wall. They can't hide behind their dirty tricks and cover-ups any longer. The truth is being exposed right now through this Executive Order.
