Allez bim, en Une de Marianne. Merci beaucoup à @Margot_Brunet_ pour ce super article. Avec du @EtienneKlein et du @jubobroff dedans :)
Il semblerait que les médias commencent à s'intéresser à cette révolution quantique made in Guerlain, oups.

A natural molecule in the wild relative of the potato may help make crops resistant to early blight disease, Colorado potato beetle, and potentially other fungi and pests. https://t.co/IYZT9vWCSy
🥔 Potato breeders can use this new information to remove mutant alleles from their germplasm and improve fertility, or decide to combine them with unreduced gametes and exploit the extra heterozygosity and uniformity they confer in interploidy breeding schemes.

🗺️ Where else do these mutants hide?
💻 A k-mer based approach helped us track these insertions in a large potato panel. They turned out to be surprisingly common in cultivated tetraploid germplasm! 🥔
From November I will start a new adventure @RIBESresearch @Radboud_Uni as Professor of Plant Genome Engineering. I am looking forward to establish a long-term home for my research on plant reproduction in Nijmegen - the oldest city in the Netherlands
#Groenteteelt🌶️🥒| Tropische gewassen kweken in Nederland?
A slightly misleading title but I'm thrilled to see my PhD research featured in NRC. 📚 If you're keen on delving into topics like self-compatibility, inbreeding depression, 2n gametes, recombination suppression and their impact on potato breeding, don't hesitate to connect! 🥔🌱
Am happy to share with you that I was recently featured with my photography in a magazine (Uitwaaien Magazine https://t.co/0Inf8wmAci) for local artists. Feel free to check it out by using the following link to browse the latest edition online:

🎓Excited to be defending my PhD thesis next Monday! Delving into potato genetics, we've uncovered the secrets of self-compatibility and unreduced pollen production. Our vision? Combining these traits in an efficient interploidy (4x-2x) breeding approach. 🔬🥔
#plantbreeding 🥔| PhD candidate Corentin Clot (@CcrClot) made a number of discoveries related to #potato sexual reproduction that could simplify the breeding of this important crop. His findings offer a new approach for potato breeders 👉 https://t.co/lVeGFl3w4a
So happy to see our latest work online in @PNASNews ! Here we succeeded in re-engineering meiotic recombination a to alleviate problems that appear as a consequence of polyploidization in Arabidopsis thalian. Do you want to know how and why we did it?🧵1/7 https://t.co/KQ7xa9pcJn
We have a new paper out from @AdriGonzalo showing that we can partially diploidize polyploid meiosis by crossover reduction! It doesn't rescue neo-4X fertility (yet), but what does, is following soon... :-)
